Gymnastics bars (uneven bars) are an apparatus with two horizontal bars set at different heights. Athletes perform swinging and circling skills, transitions between the low and high bar, releases, and a dismount—using strength, timing, and body control to keep momentum and form.
A gymnastics beam (balance beam) is a narrow, elevated apparatus athletes perform on using balance, strength, and control. Routines can include mounts, jumps, turns, leaps, and acrobatic skills, all done on a surface that’s about 4 inches wide.
Floor exercise is a gymnastics event performed on a spring floor where athletes combine tumbling passes with jumps, leaps, turns, and dance elements. Routines highlight power, flexibility, coordination, and performance, finishing with a controlled landing and strong form throughout.
